Chiefs rally past Jaguares
- 1347
The Chiefs left it late to edge the Jaguares 30-27 for a second straight win in Super Rugby on Saturday.
Damian McKenzie delivered 20 points for the Chiefs, who are unbeaten in three after a tough start to the season saw them lose four straight.
The Chiefs led 17-6 at half-time thanks to tries from McKenzie and Tumua Manu, the former converting both in Buenos Aires.
When Pablo Matera crossed for the Jaguares and Joaquin Diaz Bonilla converted approaching the hour-mark, the teams were locked at 20-20.
Matias Orlando went over for the hosts after a McKenzie penalty as they looked set for a shock victory.
But Te Toiroa Tahuriorangi scored the winning try in the 78th minute, McKenzie converting once more for a Chiefs side sitting bottom of the New Zealand Conference.
