The Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies are excited to announce the one-year extension of back-rower Charlie Cale, that will see him remain in the Capital until the end of 2025.
After making his debut with the Brumbies last season’s 62-36 victory over Moana Pasifika in Round 3, Cale has grown to provide plenty of strength and attacking spark to the Brumbies starting side.
Cale joined the Brumbies Academy Pathways Program in September 2021 and trained full-time with the club's Super Rugby Pacific squad during the 2022 campaign before being promoted.
"It's incredibly exciting, the contract process can be long but when it's done, I get to stay at a place I call home," said Cale.
"I love the Brumbies, I was born in Sydney, but I call this place home now, they took a chance on me and I'm forever graceful.
The versatile 23-year-old has shown off his unremarkable talent in 2024 and will undoubtedly add to his 12 Super Rugby Pacific appearances and continue his rapid development in the Capital over the coming seasons.
"I want to be here, and I want to be here for a long time."
Cale will make his long-awaited return from injury in this weekend’s home 2024 Super Rugby Pacific Quarter Final, after being named to start against the Highlanders this Saturday night.
