Championship Cup Highlights: RC Toulon Vs Scarlets (Round 03)

Today's game was exciting in parts but failed to get going for much of the second half. Toulon secured maximum points today and prevented Scarlets from getting anything out of the game with their strong defence. They were on top for almost all of the first half of the game and played with their backs to the wall for the majority of the second forty minutes. Tries for the home side came from Gorgodze, Halfpenny, Taofifenua and the captain Guirado. Scarlets hooker, Ken Owens went over for their first five pointer in the first half, and John Barclay got a consolation score at the death to make the scoreline look a little bit more respectable.
