Champions Cup Round 4 | Who needs what to qualify?
- 329
There is still all to play for in each of the 12 remaining pool stage games, as both home venue advantage and Round of 16 qualification are up for grabs.
Round 4 offers fans countless blockbusters as the jeopardy reaches fever pitch in the final weekend of pool action.
Bath Rugby face Edinburgh Rugby, Union Bordeaux Bègles head to Bristol Bears and Glasgow Warriors welcome Saracens with all six eyeing a first-place finish.
Top spot guarantees sides home venue advantage all the way until a potential quarter-final, while a second-place finish will see them at home in the Round of 16.

Pool 1
Glasgow Warriors currently sit top with 15 points while Sale Sharks are circling just below on 11.
A win against Saracens this weekend would see Warriors guarantee top spot and a home quarter-final.
As for Sale, they need to beat Stade Toulousain with a bonus point and hope Glasgow lose to qualify in first.
Saracens, third, could still leapfrog Sale and Glasgow into first too should they beat the Scots with a bonus point.
Six-time champions Stade Toulousain currently sit fourth on seven points with a 51% chance of securing home venue advantage in the Round of 16. They would require a win and a loss for Saracens against Glasgow.
Hollywoodbets Sharks, fifth with 5 points, host ASM Clermont Auvergne, sixth, in another key tie. The South Africans can seal knockout qualification with a win, provided other results go their way, while the French side need a bonus-point win to be in with a chance of EPCR Challenge Cup knockout qualification.

Pool 2
It is tight at the top as one point separates Bath (11) and Edinburgh (10).
Both are targeting the win and the subsequent home venue advantage up until the quarter-finals.
While RC Toulon, third on nine points, could theoretically finish top if Bath-Edinburgh goes their way, they have a stronger chance of securing second spot (65%) as they travel to Gloucester. A win would see them leapfrog either Bath or Edinburgh.
The three other teams in the pool – Munster Rugby (82%), Gloucester Rugby (31%) and Castres Olympique (15%) – all have possibilities of qualifying for the knockouts too in what is a wide-open Pool 2.
Munster, fourth on six points, host Castres, sixth on five. A win would propel either into the top four, while a bonus-point win, together with a loss for RC Toulon could suffice for second place.
Gloucester sit fifth on six points and play the Toulon side, meaning qualification is theirs if they win.

Pool 3
Leinster Rugby lead proceedings in Pool 3 with 14 points while Harlequins sit just three behind in second.
The Irish side need a win in Round 4 to fend off pressure from the teams below, and a trip to Aviron Bayonnais’ infamous fortress of Stade Jean-Dauger means they will be made to work.
Harlequins still have a 12% chance of securing top spot and a home quarter-final route – they need to win away at Stade Rochelais and hope Leinster lose. If Leinster do win, a home Round of 16 would be secured for the Londoners should they overcome Stade Rochelais and DHL Stormers fail to get past Leicester Tigers.
Stade Rochelais, fourth on six points, are focused on guaranteeing qualification - a win against Harlequins would achieve this.
Leicester Tigers’ trip to DHL Stormers also has lots riding on it as the South Africans need to win and for Stade Rochelais to do the same if they are to secure a home Round of 16 (30% chance).
Tigers, fifth on five points, can also qualify for the knockouts with a win (47%).
EPCR Challenge Cup qualification is still on the cards for Aviron Bayonnais, pointless in sixth. They would need an emphatic win against Leinster and a similar score in Stormers-Leicester to move into fifth spot.
Pool 4
A perfect start for Union Bordeaux Bègles means they are ones to beat, sitting first with 15 points, while Bristol Bears are right behind them on 14.
A direct battle for top spot awaits the pair this weekend as the home quarter-final route is the target.
Northampton Saints, third on 11 points, stand a solid chance of securing second and a home Round of 16 provided they beat Scarlets (61%).
Section Paloise (69%), Scarlets (2%) and Vodacom Bulls (29%) are all in with a chance of qualifying too.
The French side sit fourth on five points and host Bulls, so a win would see them through.
The Bulls, in sixth, and Scarlets, in fifth, both have two points, so a final Round of 16 spot and EPCR Challenge Cup qualification are on the line.
As we head into the final weekend, the outcome of each and every one of the 12 fixtures on offer has crucial permutations.
Four top spots. Eight home venue advantages. Sixteen spaces in the knockouts. All to play for.
