Bulls secure home quarter final after emphatic win over Benetton
- 271
The Vodacom Bulls produced another dominant performance at Loftus Versfeld on today, beating Benetton 45–19 to finish the URC regular season strongly. The Bulls were in control for most of the match, taking a 26–12 lead into halftime before pulling away in the second half with their powerful forward play and fast-paced attack. Their pack laid the foundation up front, while the backs capitalised on space out wide, with experienced players like Handré Pollard and man of the match Jeandre Rudolph helping to steer the game. Benetton showed some fight early on but struggled to live with the Bulls’ physicality and intensity as the match went on. The victory is an important one for the Bulls because it strengthens their position in the top 4 of the URC table and boosts their momentum heading into the playoffs. By securing another bonus-point win, the Bulls have secured a home quarter final but there could still be more changes as Leinster who are in 4th position face the Lions who are in 7th position.
