Bulls run riot against Dragons

The Bulls delivered a dominant all-round performance to crush the Dragons 47–7 in their United Rugby Championship clash at Rodney Parade on Friday night.

The Bulls made a fast start, with Embrose Papier opening the scoring from a powerful scrum, before the Dragons briefly hit back to level at 7–7. However, the visitors regained control before halftime through a try from Johan Grobbelaar to take a slender 12–7 lead into the break.

After the break, the Bulls shifted gears completely. Captain Marcell Coetzee powered over early in the second half, setting the tone for a one-sided half. A quick tap try from Marco van Staden secured the bonus point, and he later added a second as the Bulls ran riot.

Late tries from Devon Williams and Sergeal Petersen completed the rout, while flyhalf Handré Pollard contributed key conversions throughout.

The emphatic win lifts the Bulls up the standings and reinforces their playoff push, while the Dragons were left outclassed after a competitive first half faded into a heavy defeat.
