Brumbies stampede into the semi-finals

The Brumbies booked their place in the Super Rugby semi-finals as they brushed the Sharks aside claiming a 31-13 win at GIO Stadium in Canberra.
The Brumbies claimed their seventh win in a row, a club record, and booked a semi-final against the Jaguares next weekend and won their sixth consecutive victory over South African opposition.
The Brumbies got off to the perfect start when Rory Arnold drew in two defenders before throwing a superb inside ball to fellow forward Pete Samu to score.

The men from Canberra further stamped their dominance, following a long-range penalty kick by Curwin Bosch, as Arnold sent Henry Speight over, in what could be the pairs final game for the Brumbies in Canberra.
Bosch and Leali'ifano traded penalties before Samu completed his brace to hand the Brumbies 24-6 lead at the break.
The Sharks looked is if they could turn the result on its head in the second half with Andre Esterhuizen powering over before the hour mark but tries from Joe Powell and Matt Lucas in the final moments of the game sealed the victory for the home side.
Top Performers:
Pete Samu: Scored a first half brace and as all over the pitch before he was substituted with a hamstring injury at the break.
Allan Alaalatoa: Made 20 tackles, scrummed superbly and put in a massive 70 minute shift.
Rory Arnold: Simply outstanding in every single thing he did, carries, lineouts, tackles and got two try assists.
Henry Speight: Made the most of his chances to score and came up with a few turnovers in the rucks.
