Brodie Retallick ruled out of Ireland test

Brodie Retallick has been ruled out with a concussion and will miss New Zealand's rugby test against Ireland at Chicago on Saturday.

Uncapped lock Vaea Fifita has been called into the All Blacks squad as injury cover joining uncapped Crusaders second-rower Scott Barrett.

Retallick, world player of the year in 2014, joins fellow lock Sam Whitelock on the sidelines, stripping the All Blacks of two classy ball winners and midfield targets.

Scrumhalf Aaron Smith is likely to make a return to the New Zealand team after missing recent tests against South Africa and Australia because of a disciplinary suspension.
