Bristol's international players staying put for now

Bristol’s England and Welsh players will remain with the squad for the time being until some certainty is reached over Saturday’s Premiership final.

The current participants in the final are scheduled to be Exeter and Wasps, however, the latter have an apparent covid-19 problem in their camp which now threatens their taking part.

Wasps powered past Bristol in the semi-finals to earn a shot at the title, but now they find themselves in limbo.

Another round of testing tomorrow (Tuesday) will bring some finality to the situation as Wasps will know if they will be forced to withdraw.

Two Bristol players, Callum Sheedy and Ioan Lloyd, have been named in Wales’ squad for the upcoming Six Nations games. They will, however, remain with the Bristol squad in case they’re required to participate in the final. England head coach Eddie Jones has not, as yet, calledup any Wasps or Bristol players.
