Bongi Mbonambi talks about his journey from a life-threatening experience to the Springboks.

The Stormers hooker's appendix burst before the opening game of the 2018 Super Rugby game of the season which left him bedridden and ultimately losing 10 kilograms.

Mbonambi worked hard and was back in the Springbok set up by the June Tests against England where he started the first two tests against the travelling side.
