Bath looking forward to being back at The Rec

Johann van Graan has named his starting XV as Bath Rugby welcome Sale Sharks to The Rec for their first home game of the 2025/26 Gallagher PREM season (Friday 3 October, kick-off 19:45).

The front row sees props Beno Obano and Vilikesa Sela lining up alongside hooker Tom Dunn, with all three forwards registering tries in last Friday’s 47-31 bonus-point win away at Harlequins in Round 1.

Locks Charlie Ewels and Quinn Roux link up in the engine room in front of a back row consisting of Ted Hill, Guy Pepper, and Miles Reid at Number 8.

Captain Ben Spencer and Max Ojomoh complete the half-back pairing.

Cameron Redpath and Ollie Lawrence are the centres with Henry Arundell, fresh from scoring two tries on debut last weekend, and Joe Cokanasiga occupying the wings.

Tom de Glanville completes the starting XV at full back.

Hooker Dan Frost is set to make his senior debut for the Blue, Black and White as one of six forwards named amongst the replacements.

Archie Griffin and Sam Underhill, both second-half try scorers against Harlequins, are joined by Francois van Wyk, Ross Molony, and Alfie Barbeary – who will make his 50th appearance for Bath if called upon.

The replacement backs are scrum-half Tom Carr-Smith and centre Will Butt.
