Beauden Barrett is set to feature at full-back for Taranaki this weekend as the All Blacks star tries to build up his match fitness ahead of the Rugby World Cup.
Barrett enjoyed an excellent Super Rugby season before being sidelined with a knee injury, only make two appearances off the bench for New Zealand in the Rugby Championship.
Versatile enough to play full-back and fly-half at international level, Barrett would have been used by Taranaki at ten had he been through more training with the side.
"If he was here the whole week, we would have played him at 10," Taranaki assistant coach Willie Rickards told Stuff.
"But he'll possibly see some time at 10 on Saturday anyway.
"The main thing for Beaudy is he's going to get 80 minutes because he has not played a lot since the Super Rugby final.”
