Australia vs Scotland

Scotland secured a hard fought 24-19 away win over Australia after they led 17-12 at halftime. Scotland opened the scoring with an early penalty and then an intercept try gave them a 10-0 lead. Australia were next score to get on the board, but Scotland were in again soon after for their second try. However, a try for Australia with the last play of the half saw the hosts trail by five points at the break. Australia crossed for their third try about 15 minutes into the second half to hit the front at 19-17. Scotland responded with their third try to reclaim the lead with just under a quarter of the match to play. Australia threw everything they had at the Scottish defence, but the visitors held firm to secure a famous victory.
