Australia to allow overseas players international selection with new policy

With a horde of players set to flee to Europe after this year’s World Cup in
England, Australia have announced a new policy that, for the first time,
will allow talent playing overseas to be selected for the national team.
The new rule, which will become effective immediately, means that players who
have won 60 caps for the country and played for an Australian Super Rugby
team for at least seven years will become eligible to represent the nation.
Other players based abroad will immediately become available if they commit
to playing Super Rugby for the following two seasons.
