Aphelele Fassi reportedly set to join Stormers from Sharks

Springbok utility back Aphelele Fassi is reportedly set to join the Stormers from the Sharks.

According to Sunday newspaper Rapport, Western Province Rugby is making good progress trying to bring the versatile Fassi to Cape Town after his current contract with the Sharks expires in December.

It is understood that WP is desperate to secure the three-Test-capped Fassi, who is also able to play fullback and wing, to supplement several positions next season.

This, amid reported ongoing negotiations at WP to extend up to 20 current players’ contracts, two of them being Bok flyhalf Manie Libbok and in-form centre Dan du Plessis.
