Anthony Watson in contact with 4 Top 14 clubs - reports

Reports in France today suggest that four Top 14 clubs are interested in signing versatile back Anthony Watson.

RMC Sport has said four big yet unnamed French clubs have shown an interest in the Bath and England outside back with his current contract at Bath coming to an end after the 2018/19 season.

Watson is set to miss the opening stages of the new season with Bath Director of Rugby Todd Blackadder stating that it is unclear when he will return to action after re-injuring his Achilles tendon during pre-season.

If he were to make a move to France, Watson would still be able to represent England at the World Cup as he would only join his new club following the conclusion of the global event.
