Allan Massie: Resolve over foreign-based stars

JPR Williams, the great Welsh full-back, has said that Jamie Roberts would be a fool to return to Cardiff Blues when he chooses to leave Racing Metro. The standard of Welsh regional rugby is too low. Williams, however, asserts that players improve by spreading their wings and joining French or English clubs (and apparently Harlequins are eager to sign Roberts).
