As Alan Solomons, the Edinburgh head coach, celebrates guiding the first side from Scotland to a European rugby final, he has made it clear there is still much to he done at the club and that he wants to finish the project.
His contract is up this summer, but for all the achievements in both Europe and in the Guinness PRO12, he sees the side as work in progress, still a long way from the finished article.
“I’d like to see it through,” he said yesterday.
