6 Nations Highlights: England v Wales

England kept their Six Nations Championship hopes alive with a 33-30 home win over defending champions Wales in round 4.

England started strongly with an early try, with Wales getting on the board with a penalty shortly after. The sides then traded penalties as England led 10-6 midway through the first half. England then crossed for their second try and added a late first half penalty to extend their advantage out to 20-6. Wales would have the final say of the first half, with a penalty with the final play seeing them trail by 11 points at the break.

Wales got off to a dream start in the second half, scoring from the kickoff to reduce the deficit to just four points at 20-16. England managed to keep the scoreboard ticking over, slotting two penalties in quick succession to wrestle back control at 26-16. England ran in their third try entering the final quarter for a commanding 33-16 lead.

England then picked up a yellow card and red card shortly after to be reduced to 13 players with around 5 minutes remaining. Wales would use their numerical advantage to run in two late tries to secure a losing bonus point, but it would prove too little too late as England wrapped up the Triple Crown.
