5 wingers in contention for the Lions

With Warren Gatland announced as coach last week, we look at what options he has on the wing.

Tommy Seymour

The Glasgow winger has started this season superbly scoring 6 tries in just 2 games. To beat the All Blacks you need to be clinical and if Seymour can keep up this form it would be hard for Gatland to ignore him. Look at those stats!

George North

Has previous expericne from 2013 and was a key player in the 2-1 series win. If he can have an injury free season he's sure to be a cert on the plane.

Anthony Watson

Has been in fine form for England and with 8 tries in his last 11 games, it's hard to ignore that form. Hasn't featured yet this season but if he can carry on form from 6 Nations and the summer there's no reason why we shouldn't be going to NZ.

Jack Nowell

Like Watson has missed the start of the season through injury but has been in superb form this last year. Has come on leaps and bounds under Eddie Jones and his league form with Exeter Chiefs has been decent. Will be interesting to see if he can find a way into Warren Gatland's squad.

Tommy Bowe

Has struggled with injury but stared in 2 tests back in 2013 and went on the 2009 tour to South Africa. Needs games but his experience could be a major factor in his selection. Lets hope he can get fit soon and firing at his best.
