Dan Biggar
Biggar impressed hugely in his Man of the Match performance against England. The out half kept Wales' hopes alive for the full 80 and ultimately won the game for his nation. Biggar held a 100% kick success, scoring 7 kicks at goal and 1 conversion, totaling to 23 points - a new Welsh record for points scored against England. Biggar will be a key player for Wales in their coming games, especially with the mounting number of injuries they face.
DTH Van Der Merwe
Van Der Merwe was the standout player for Canada in their fixture against Italy. The winger troubled Italy every time he was on the ball, scoring what could possibly be the try of the tournament in the opening minutes of the encounter and breaking Italy's defensive line with each carry he made. Van Der Merwe's performance earned him the title of Man of the Match.
JP Pietersen
JP Pieterson stunned Samoa in their encounter, as he scored a stunning hat-trick. Pieterson scored the opening try of the fixture with a great intercept try. The winger went on to score two more tries in the corner for the Springboks, adding to their 6 try tally.
Owen Farrell
Despite England's defeat at the hands of Wales, Farrell answered his critics and proved why he was included in Lancaster's starting 15. The outhalf had a very impressive game, with 6/6 off the tee. Farrell also showed some very good decision making as he opted for the drop-goal when England found themselves under pressure in attack.
