19 Year Old Leigh Halfpenny's Debut Against South Africa

Leigh Halfpenny made his debut for Wales on the right wing in 2008 against the Springboks at the Millennium Stadium. At only 19, he was unusually young to set foot on the international stage, however, the confidence of youth carried him through to a fantastic debut.

The 1.78, 85kg back showed no fear against the brawny South Africans and ignited exciting passages of play with educated angle-running, courageous defence and pace to burn. He also managed the first 3 points of his test career in that game in the form of a penalty kick.
