"If the Wolfpack want Manu then I am sure they can have a conversation with us" - Geordan Murphy

England centre Manu Tuilagi will not be leaving Leicester Tigers "anytime soon" despite interest from big-spending rugby league side the Toronto Wolfpack, according to his club boss Geordan Murphy.

A report by the Telegraph stated that the big-spending newcomers to the Super League wanted to add Manu Tuilagi to their squad having already secured the services of former All Black Sonny Bill Williams.

Tigers' boss Geordan Murphy commented on the rumours in an interview with BBC Leicester Sport.

"If the Wolfpack want Manu then I am sure they can have a conversation with us,"

"But we don't want Manu leaving. He is world class and wants to be at Tigers."

Murphy is confident Tuilagi's links to the Tigers and area mean he will not be tempted to change his mind and switch codes to move to the Canadian side.

"Manu was offered more money to leave last year (to Racing 92) when the speculation was around," Murphy added.

"He has a family here. He is settled here and he feels like a Leicester player so I don't think he will going anywhere, anytime soon."
