PENALTY OYONNAX. Right on the stroke of half-time the home side narrow the deficit thanks to another penalty from the boot of fly-half Urdipaletta. As the sides head into the break it is 11-6 in favour of Toulon.
TRY TOULON. The first five pointer goes the way of the visitors and it is experienced South African flanker Juan Smith who scores it. No conversion but Toulon lead 11-6
PENALTY TOULON. Instant response through the boot of O'Connor, cancelling out Urdipaletta's previous effort. This will please Laporte as they seek to keep in touch when down to 14 men. 6-6
PENALTY OYONNAX. It does not take long however for another chance to present itself and this time Urdipaletta makes no mistake to give his side the lead. 6-3.
From the resultant penalty, Urdipaletta fails to capitalise and the score remains 3-3.
Big blow for Toulon as French international prop Xavier Chiocci is sin-binned after being penalised at scrum-time. Can Oyonnax make the numerical advantage pay now is the question.
PENALTY TOULON. Sides are level as James O'Connor strikes from the tee. 3-3.
PENALTY OYONNAX. Promising start from the home side as some early Toulon ill-discipline leads to a chance for Ben Urdipaletta who makes no mistake, 3-0.
Matt Giteau kicks the game underway!
Good evening all and welcome to our coverage of this French Top14 clash between hosts Oyonnax and the visiting Toulon. Reigning champions Toulon have been motoring along nicely but will be wary of the fact that they lost this very fixture last season. On the contrary, Oyonnax will take confidence from that fact however they have just stuttered to only two wins out of seven so far. Sitting on opposite ends of the table the two teams will have opposite motivation for the game, Toulon sit just three points adrift of the top while Oyonnax are only one point clear of the bottom.
