Rhodes lucky not to get kicked in the face ! Dirty play by Trimble!

Johnny H-m
Johnny H-m 8 years ago

Yellow is fair, head was down just a timing issue, could easily have been a red though

El Rat don't talk rubbish, bloke was on his way down from leaping in the air, you're boring

David Yamamoto

This idea that "how a player lands" should influence decisions is rubbish, the tacklers timing and intent are the only important factors, had Trimble landed sideways there, his shoulder was history, or worse his neck!

I'm a Dublin chap and a Leinster supporter. After that I will support anything Irish.

Unfortunately I'm a Blues fan, Irish rugby has been the regions & Wales biggest rivals for the last decade so a completely un bias view

William - two Heineken Cups !! Sure didn't the IRFU have to change the National Anthem for your crowd!

I realise this won't be seen, but El Rat, some wingers now stick one leg out as it psychologically stops someone running at them for fear of being kicked. Perfectly legal to do so. Believe jack nowell does it. Well, perfectly legal when the leg is always straight. Not bent then extended into a players face :)

Frank, wasn't it also the case at least during the WC, possibly rugby championship too, commentators were praising players who went into the air and used their legs to get an extra boost from players around them. I seem to remember it happening a few times along with such comments as 'good awareness'.
