Yellow Card | 22'
Another high tackle
Homer would be proud
another BS call... that wasn't high, he didn't even make the tackle... it was a slip off as he ducked...
the dude ducked into it.
Bullshit call.. No surprises
Was high alright
Sure, if you are 3 feet tall
Prett poor call if you ask me.
Yea just watched the replay...disguting call. Nothing in it at all.
South Africa's own fault. If you know a refs going to pin you for it, go out of your way to tackle low
He tackled around waist height.. The player ducked into it
Waterboy if you know anythong about rugby you wpuld know you cant give a yellow card for that. Stay with being a waterboy
I don't know what game you're watching, both swinging arms
I know a lot about rugby actually. You're just sore to be losing
Im just sore a good game is being ruined by poor refereeing
Wow, OK Bertie, I'm sure we will see the same type of decision go the way of SA when England tackle a ducking player.
And you obviously know nothing yourself. A ref can give a card if he feels it's dangerous. My grandads South African, I know how sore a losing nation you are. Calls go with and against you sometimes. Move on
Haha wow, you really are a prick. Way to nail the stereotype
Thank you I try
You guys happy now you're getting all the penalties this half?
Every single scrum the number 1 or 2 pops up.
Also, being offside is a penalty, it's not debatable
If a hooker pops out it's usually cow the tight head boring in
Speak English please
Tackle without arms? Oh sorry it was an english player. Play on
Haha bet you think the penalty try was a bad call as well?
No, but it was obstruction before the scrum.. That's a penalty.
I had one word autocorrected, not that hard to figure stephen
A South African TMO declared it not to be obstruction
The obstruction was fine
So? Doesn't mean it wasn't a poor call
Hahaha. He didn't actually prevent the tackle being made. It was just very poor defence from the SA 10 and you were saved by your winger
South Africa scrum now goes backward and collapses, guess that is a bad call as well?
If you block a player, and he did (contact between the two), then it's obstruction. And what about the shoulder charge? Was that also fine taking into account the two yellows for dangerous tackles?
I never said it was. You are clearly a moron
I thought every call by the ref was wrong unless it does to SA... That is all I am reading
Sigh. Please learn to read. I simply said that the yellow was a bad call and so was the obstruction
And if consistency is to be taken into account, why did the shoulder charge not yet a yellow?
Get*
First offence not the 3rd and 4th?
South Africa are being outplayed and being. Technically your comment is incorrect. It's obstruction if the player prevents a tackle from being made, which it did not.
Haven't seen a shoulder charge
Shoulder charge should have been yellow
If you didn't see a shoulder charge, for which a penalty was given, then maybe you should turn on the TV
Oh I do apologise that I missed it. You got a penalty! It's not like South Africa is known as the cleanest rugby nation now is it
"The ball carrier must not run behind an active block-runner and disadvantage the defensive line. The defender should not be expected to defend against this play." that is exactly what happened
Re high tackle. If a player 'ducks' into a tackle that does not give you license to attempt to remove his head from his body. In all instances in this match the tackler continued the tackle knowing it was high.
Haha that's the funniest interpretation of the law I have seen.
It was a penalty 100%!!
Bloody true though. It's the tacklers responsibility to make it as safe as possible for the ball carrier
Let's talk about how South Africa have forgotten that in rugby you must catch and hold onto the ball
Im sure you are of the opinion that if a player jumps into a tackle then it's tackling in the air too. I'm not saying it's not a penalty but it sure as **** is not a yellow card. You will see many more of those this year that won't be given yellow, why? Because it's not a yellow l
Why is h ell blanked out?
Stephen a player is not allowed jump into a tackle
Those are in fact the rules yes. Look I'm not saying any of these things are what I want or would give but they are the rules. Learn them
And I never said that SA are playing well. Do you even know how to have a constructive discussion?
A high tackle is normally just a penalty but in this circumstance the ref clearly gave a team warning
A player cannot duck into a tackle just as much as he cannot jump into one
Hahaha coming from you calling me a prick and Julian a moron. Don't contradict yourself mate
Warm you actually can duck. This is union not rugby league
Erm*
Stephen there is no law about ducking s tackle
You insulted all South Africans and Julian cannot read, quite justified on my end
Stephen you're making a fool of yourself now I'd just stop
Some of you clearly do not understand the laws of rugby and probably just recently started watching casually. The fact is...this tackle was NOT high at all!
I didn't insult them, I said you're sore losers. Which is true. Been playing since I was 4, now 25 and have missed one season through injury and have my level 2 coaching.......next
All penalised high tackles were correct in law
All I ask is for consistency. A shoulder charge is more dangerous than a player ducking into a waist high tackle.
Getting a shoulder to the chest is more dangerous than having someone swinging off your head? Really!
See look you have your yellow can you please stop feeling hard done by now. And he was falling into the tackle, and really falling into the tackle haha. Can't wait to hear what you have to say now stephen
That yellow was also not high. Kinda pointless giving it with 7 minutes to go now is it
The point is, it doesn't matter, if you make contact with the head, you're likely to get penalised
Poor call again. Poor refereeing. He ducked into the call. This ref should study his rules
Why are you guys celebrating poor reffing? Regardless of who is being favoured. No one wants to see had reffing
If I slip and fall into your knee with my face then that does not justify a red card. But if you knee me in my face then it is a red. I hope you understand and get the point
I get your point. But it is unfortunately the rules. It shouldn't be, but it is
Bad*
If you apply that thinking to this tackle then you will see and get the point. If I commit to the tackle and you slip I can not get the blame for tackling you above the shoulder...YOU fell
It's an interpretation of the rules. That does not get given as a yellow in super rugby.
That's when you leave go Arno
You make no sense Julian
I know mate. I'm not disputing that. It's a young ref, doing everything by the book. Super refs and aviva prem refs would look at it and see he slipped
At least we can agree on that. Another thing I'm sure we can agree on is that SA have been well beaten
Good discussion lads thanks!
