Scotland opens their World Cup campaign against Japan in a Pool B encounter in Gloucester.

The brave blossoms are fresh off a stunning shock defeat of South Africa and will be looking to add another scalp to their list. The win over the Springboks has left Pool B wide open and if Japan could notch up another victory they could be in contention of progressing to the quarter finals for the first time in their history.

Scotland will be under no illusion as to the threat the Japanese pose and will be determined to not slip up as South Africa did. With Samoa, South Africa and the U.S.A making up the rest of the pool, Scotland will need a win to kick start their hopes of reaching the knock-out phase of the competition.
