Yellow Card | 33'
Why?
Should have been red
Utter bull ****!
Put him down safely, shouldn't even be a penalty! Rugby is going soft!
'Dangerous takle'
should of been red
Nah matee
It was a complete jump by biggar
Pisi should have been red carded
Didn't land on his head... So yellow is correct.
his head went below hips mate red card
Going soft?? Seriously? These guys are bigger faster fitter stronger than ever. Tip tackles can ruin lives and careers. No place for it in rugby.
Listen to the commentary it was never a red
Put him down safely?! Watch it again. Very dangerous tackle. Pisi thought he was going to get a red, massive relief on receiving a yellow
Then pisi tries to through his head into the floor completely a yellow if biggar hadn't of got his hand down he'd be on stretcher
Tip tackles where the player doesn't land on head or neck are considerably less dangerous than some of the stuff that happens in rugby. When did you last see someone carded for touching a player in the air in a line out- could be so much more dangerous than gentle tip tackle
Seems your the only one saying it didn't deserve a card.
Saints player sent off? That's unheard of!
What's this 'jump' bullshit??? Biggar was running, hence his feet were off the ground. Even if he made a world record jump in the air, how does that mean pisi has to turn him beyond the horizontal and drive him into the ground? It makes no sense whatsoever. Whatever your take on it, that's a red card.
I've watched it again, Pisi is in the air when Biggar lands, not possible he put him down safely. By the book it was a red
Not as often but lineout pull downs are hardly ever deliberate tip tackles that result in cards, card resulting tip tackles are more often then not a player lifting another player then purposely dropping/ pushing his head/neck towards the ground. Clear intent to hurt or injure in this tackle nothing else, lineout pens for pulling should occur more often but many pens are players pulling arms away from the ball not someone pulling a man at the full height of a lift and pulling him to the floor onto back/neck or even head like many tip tackles are. Pisi tries to put his head on the floor end off a yellow because he's held onto him and biggars saved himself could have been a red to some refs but luckily the TMO and ref agree it could have been worse
it was a yellow because he didnt land on his head. It was dangerous, but no more than a yellow.
Defo a yellow not a red I think some people on here don't know the rules
Most tip tackles aren't even that dangerous unless they land on their head it should be fine rugby is going way to soft
If Biggar hadn't been able to free his arm, he would have landed on his head.
Clerc didn't land on his head when Warburton tackled him either.
