Leinster take a 19-7 lead over the Ospreys into halftime. The Ospreys got off to a superb start with a penalty try inside the opening ten minutes, with Leinster picking up a yellow card in the process. The Ospreys failed to capitalize on their numerical advantage and Leinster hit back with a try to level matters around the midpoint of the half. The well oiled Leinster machine began to find some rhythm and they would cross for a further two tries for a 12 point advantage at the break.
