New Zealand take a 17-0 lead over Australia into halftime. New Zealand opened the scoring with an early penalty, with Australia missing two penalty attempts in quick succession. New Zealand then crossed for two tries just a couple of minutes apart to race into a 17-0 lead. New Zealand then picked up a yellow card just before halftime and also missed an easy shot at goal with the final play of the half. New Zealand will start the second forty with a 17 point advantage but only 14 players after the Coles yellow card.
