Munster take a 13-5 lead over the Exeter Chiefs into halftime of the second leg. Munster opened the scoring with an early penalty, but Exeter hit back with a try to lead 5-3. Munster picked up a yellow card after 13 minutes, but despite being a player down added a penalty to edge ahead 6-5. Munster then ran in their first try 15 minutes from halftime, with Exeter missing a long range shot at goal to bring the half to a close. Munster up 13-5 in the second leg and 21-18 on aggregate.
