Osborne*

Despite the Highlanders shading both territory and possession in the first half, it's the Lions who have managed to notch up 280 metres to the 190 of the Highlanders at the break

Jonny Jul 7

He was dangeous with ball in hand, will be missed.

Ultimate Rugby Jul 7

The Lions with a well worked and disciplined approach going into this game and executing what has to be their game plan as set out by the lions coaching staff. The Highlanders being restricted on attack as the Lions defensive unit well marshaled by Jantjies and De Klerk. A solid lead for the home side to build on in the second half but, the Highlanders didn't come this far to just roll over in this one. The Lions can expect an early onslaught in the second stanza as the Highlanders will come out with a point to prove.

Bummer Jonny, cheers

Jonny Jul 7

Not sure about the injury

Colin Branson Jul 7

Yes we know but that is the way rugby is heading, the lions show that SA can still play rugby we just need better coaching, don't forget that all our best players play over seas and that we have quotas to deal with but yet we still in the top 3 in world rugby , imagine SA without those problems , things would be very different
