It went backwards out of his hands, you can't judge a forward pass by where it was thrown from and where it was caught because they're running forward at the same time. You have to judge the direction the ball leaves the hands

What a game if sexton had landed that penalty Ireland would have won it

Finally able to catch our breath. A sensational game of rugby which was played at 100 mph all game. Ireland ran into an early 19-0 lead and looked unstoppable, but New Zealand got a crucial try before the half to reduce Ireland's lead. A penalty from Sexton before the half time whistle put Ireland in a 22-7 lead at halftime. New Zealand upped their game but Ireland looked like they were going to hold on. Unfortunately for the Irish with 15 seconds left they gave away a penalty and New Zealand worked up the pitch and managed to grind out the win. Heartbreak for Ireland but a fantastic performance from the men in green and they should be proud of themselves. New Zealand are now the only team in history to have a 100% record in the calendar year, and finish the year 14/14.
