Hugo secures, Cheetahs look to shift it wide immediately
Schoeman gets the Currie Cup final underway
hi
Anthem concluded, kick off is just moments away
National anthem to take place followed by kick off
Now followed by the hosts the Cheetahs to a tremendous applause
The Bulls have made their way out onto the field
We are down to the last two as the Free State Cheetahs host the Blue Bulls in the final of the Currie Cup Premier Division.
The Cheetahs remained unbeaten in the round robin stage, winning all eight matches to top the log and earn the right to host a home semi-final. They continued their impressive run of form with a dismantling 55-17 victory over the Lions in the semi’s and will be full of confidence heading into this encounter.
The Bulls notched up six wins and two defeats from their eight games, finishing second in the table. They won a thrilling semi-final against Western Province 36-30 to book their spot in the Currie Cup final.
The Cheetahs are no doubt the form side and will start the match as favourites and look to secure a tenth successive victory, but one should not right off the Bulls as anything can happen in finals rugby.
