C'mon tfeek

Stephen, that might be the nail in the coffin. It's a pity an injury free Wales and Ireland would have been exciting prospects.

Nichol Oct 10

great game

Marc De Paor Oct 10

Amazing effort by Ireland. you have to give it to the lads. Bring on Argentina !

Stephen Paine Oct 10

And if SOB gets cited it will be even more interesting

Jack Engels Oct 10

Well done Ireland. Pumas should be a good game. Too bad about the injuries. I would have liked to see Ireland playing with a full team...

Mauritz B. Oct 10

I think Argentina are favourites by quite a bit after tonight. No Sexton or O'connell could be fatal.

Ultimate Rugby Oct 10

And with that, Nigel Owens concludes a fantastically entertaining half of rugby. After losing talismanic leaders in O'Connell and Sexton, Joe Schmidt's outfit rally in the second and put the French to the sword. Murray and Kearney cross for two hard-fought and well-deserved scores, whilst Sean O'Brien earns Man of the Match for a relentless shift in the backrow. Tonight's win means Ireland will avoid the All Blacks, battling the Argentinians instead for a semi-final spot. A frustrating try-less 80 minutes for the French, who will now do battle with the ever-intimidating World Cup winners next weekend, in a reenactment of the 2011 World Cup final.

Darren Ramsay Oct 10

Course they will. Still reckon Ireland will take it.

Stephen Paine Oct 10

Having 5 starting players come off injured will test depth.. Don't count those chickens just yet
