Eng take a 21-10 lead over Fiji into halftime. Eng kicked an early penalty and a try shortly after saw them open up an 8-0 lead. Fiji then missed a penalty, but got on the board with a shot at goal midway through the half. Eng crossed for try number two, with Fiji picking up a yellow card in the process. Fiji missed another penalty, but went over for their first try just before the half hour mark to trail 15-10. Eng kept the scoreboard ticking over, slotting a further two penalties for an 11 point advantage at the break.
