Munster just edge the last game of 2016 with their ability to get a try on the board being the difference between the two sides. The game failed to spark to life, as expected due to the horrendous conditions. Connacht were lucky in the end to come away with the losing bonus point as they really struggled to get over the gainline throughout the game, as a result of the astute Munster defence. Munster will be happy to come away with another win over the holidays and to maintain their position on the top of the table at the halfway stage.
