The Chiefs take a 19-10 lead over the Highlanders into halftime. It was all Highlanders at the start as they crossed for the first try, but the Chiefs responded with two tries in quick succession to lead 12-7. The hosts grew into the game and went over for a third score, with the Highlanders hitting back with a penalty on the stroke of halftime.
