The Brumbies have their first attacking opportunity of the match with a lineout just outside the Blues 22m line.

Penalty to the Blues, entering the ruck from the side. Kick at poles to follow.

Fantastic by the Blues! Bowden performs a pin-point cross kick to Halai who immediately pops it inside to Piutau who kicks the ball a tad to far and is dotted down by the Brumbies. Great sign of things to come.

Bowden gets smashed as he receives the ball and man at the same time, he does well to hold onto the ball. The Blues are going through the phases near the halfway line.

Both teams are happy to play the possession game early on. Toomua sets up a lineout on halfway to the Blues.

It's a wet and windy evening. The teams are making their way onto the field.
