Aus and NZ head into halftime all square at 10-10. NZ got off to the perfect start with a try inside the opening 5 minutes to lead 7-0. NZ then missed a long range shot at goal but were then successful with a penalty to open up a 10-0 lead. Aus got on the board with a penalty midway through the half and went over for their first try after 25 minutes to level matters at ten apiece, with NZ picking up a yellow card in the process. Five minutes from halftime, the Wallabies picked up two yellow card which will see them start the second half with 13 players.
