The 2018/19 season has been far from a dream start for new head coach Patrice Collazo after failing to take Toulon to the Champions Cup playoff and winning just 5 games out of 11 to start the Top 14 season.
However, this weekend could be viewed as a turning point in their season with a stellar victory over Lyon as they ran in six tries to Lyon's 1 to claim a 40-7 victory.
Josua Tuisova's younger brother Filipo Nakosi was in fine form Toulon scoring three tries against Toulon while Liam Messam, Daniel Ikpefan and Tuisova got on the scoreboard.
Nakosi' first try came off of a lovely build up and perfectly timed passed by former Springbok winger JP Pietersen who was operating at fullback. Nakosi sprinted onto the ball and breezed over for the try.
Nakosi's second try was a lot more difficult to finish off. Rhys Webb threw a sublime skip pass to the winger who had to beat two defenders and stay in play to score in the corner.
The winger's third try was probably his easiest thanks to the platform that pack provided with allowed Rhys Webb to break off the back and deliver another great skip pass out to the winger who had no defenders in front of him.
