The 29-year-old is one of four former New Zealand and Australian internationals who are representing Tonga in the final Olympic Sevens Repechage tournament in Monaco.
Fekitoa is using the event in order to make the most of the Olympic loophole to switch international allegiance to Tonga.
If a player hasn't played international rugby for four years they are able to use the Olympic sevens events to change their test allegiance to their country where they could qualify for under World Rugby regulations if they were uncapped.
