Former Chiefs and All Black centre Richard Kahui produced a brilliant try assist in the first half of the Super Rugby AU clash between the Western Force and Waratahs.

The 35-year-old joined the Western Force for the Super Rugby AU season and started the clash against the Waratahs on Friday.

14 minutes into the game, Kahui received the ball outside the Waratahs' 22 and grubbed the ball through the legs of Waratahs' winger Alex Newsome with Western Force's Brynard Stander diving on the ball for the first try of the game.

The clash between the Waratahs and Rebels was also a record-breaking one for Michael Hooper who became the youngest player to make 150 Super Rugby appearances.
