Vermeulen out for three months after undergoing surgery

Springboks No 8 Duane Vermeulen is set to miss the Rugby Championship after undergoing groin surgery.

"Vermeulen will be out for three months," a Toulon spokesperson said, adding that the Top 14 club had no plans for his replacement.

The 31-year-old was poised to rejoin the Boks for the June series against France, but was ruled out with a shoulder injury.
