- 306
Ulster Rugby became the first side through to the EPCR Challenge Cup final four after they saw of Ronan O’Gara’s Stade Rochelais on Friday night.
The Northern Irish province proved too strong for the French giants as saw off Stade Rochelais 41-24.
The first forty laid solid foundations as Zac Ward cut a fantastic line four minutes in.
His score was added to by Tom O’Toole and Cormac Izuchukwu on his 50th appearance as both edged over after multi-phase play.
Stade Rochelais answered back in similar fashion before the break.
That score did little to dissuade the hosts after the restart as Zac Ward grabbed a second and Bryn Ward ran one in from 10 metres.
James McCormick added the hosts’ sixth late on as Ulster cemented their dominance over the French.
The hosts prevail book their spot in May’s semi-final and will face either Benetton Rugby or Exeter Chiefs for a match-up not to miss.
Top Performers:
