Naholo sidelined for up to six weeks
All Blacks and Highlanders winger Waisake Naholo sustained a knee injury at team training yesterday.
He has undergone an MRI scan, revealing a grade two MCL injury, he is currently in a knee brace and will be unavailable for up to 6 weeks while he is rehabilitating.
Jake Gordon re-signs with Rugby Australia and Waratahs
Scrumhalf Jake Gordon has inked a new two-year extension to re-sign with Rugby Australia and New South Wales Waratahs until the end of 2021.
The 25-year old made his Wallabies debut against Italy in Padova on last year’s Spring Tour after a standout Vodafone Super Rugby season for the Waratahs.
Utah Warriors Sign Pro-Bowler Haloti Ngata
Former Highland HS Rugby All-American has signed with Major League Rugby’s Utah Warriors just two weeks after announcing his retirement from the NFL.
Haloti Ngata, the 5-time NFL Pro-Bowler and Super Bowl champion with the Baltimore Ravens, announced that he has signed an Associate Player Contract with Major League Rugby and will start immediately with the Utah Warriors.
Glen Townson signs new deal as forwards coach at Ealing Trailfinders
Ealing Trailfinders can today reveal that Glen Townson has signed a new contract with the club as forwards coach.
Townson retired from playing back in September to take up the role and has made a seamless transition in to coaching, guiding the Trailfinders to an RFU Championship Cup final and second place in the Greene King IPA Championship with four matches remaining of the 2018/19 campaign.
