Trinder joins Championship side Ampthill

Former Gloucester centre Henry Trinder has joined Championship side Ampthill in a player-backs coach role.

Working under former Wales fly half Paul Turner, Trinder joins former Saracens and England lock Mouritz Botha.

Trinder left Gloucester in April to take up an opportunity to play for RC Vannes in France.

The 31-year-old made his debut in Cherry & White against Sale Sharks as a replacement for Leon Lloyd in 2008. 13 years later, the centre has made 172 appearances, and scored 46 tries for the club.

Trinder came through the academy ranks at Kingsholm with the likes of Jonny May and Charlie Sharples and went on to represent England at Under-20 level and played for England Saxons, as well as playing for England in the non-cap game against the Barbarians in 2014.
