Toulouse confirm yet another new signing, reuniting brothers

Toulouse are making moves to finalise their squad for next season with several players committing their futures to the Club as well as new players signing with the current Top 14 champions.

Their latest new addition confirmed is Arthur Retiere who will be reunited with his younger brother Edgar, who has also committed to the Club until 2024.

Arthur Retiere is regularly a winger but is capable of playing scrumhalf and may well do so in the Champions Cup final against Leinster following Tawera Kerr-Barlow's injury.

The 24-year-old has played over 100 games for La Rochelle after joining the side in 2016 and scored more than 20 tries. He also made his test debut for France in 2020.

Speaking after the confirmation of his move, Retiere said: “It's an honor to sign for Stade Toulousain! We had been in contact for some time and I felt it was the right time for me to join the club. I am all the happier that I will have the chance to find my little brother. I can't wait to start my adventure here!

Arthur follows the likes of Italian international Ange Capuozzo, who joins Toulouse from Grenoble next season. Toulouse have also confirmed the arrival of Lyon centre Pierre-Louis Barassi and Perpignan fullback Melvyn Jaminet.

Bordeaux back-rower Alexandre Roumat is also set to join the Club.

Toulouse have also announced a host of re-signings for Dorian Aldegheri (2026), Peato Mauvaka (2026), Thomas Ramos (2027), Richie Arnold (2025), Francois Cros (2027), Cyril Baille (2027), Antoine Dupont (2027), and Julien Marchand (2028).

Toulouse are set to lose the likes of Maxime Medard (retiring), Joe Tekori (retiring), Paulo Tafili (Lyon), Rory Arnold (released), Antoine Miquel and Zack Holmes (both to Bordeaux).
