TOP14 Tries of the Weekend

The 2017-18 TOP14 season kicked off last weekend and the opening round of fixtures did not fail to disappoint with a host of impressive tries scored by some of the league's heavyweights.

Current holders Clermont suffered a shock narrow defeat to UBB, while Chris Ashton quickly settled into new life at the Stade Felix Mayol grabbing a brace of tries.

Montpellier got off to an opening victory under the watchful eye of New Zealand-born coach Vern Cotter, with fresh imports Aaron Cruden & Ruan Pienaar showing us what they can offer to the league with steady performances on their debuts.

We have picked a few of our favourites from the weekend. How about that offload from Abendanon, champagne stuff from Les Jaunards!
