Faf de Klerk
The Sale scrum-half was the standout performer in a really impressive Springbok performance this afternoon as they narrowly edged past England at Ellis Park. He dictated the tempo of the game masterfully with snappy, accurate passing and some perfectly measured kicks out of hand. He posed a constant threat with ball in hand and made a couple of monstrous defensive hits. Thoroughly deserving of the man of the match award.
Sibusiso Nkosi
The young winger was sensational in everything he did this afternoon. He caused the England defence significant problems when running with ball in hand due to his combination of blistering pace and raw power. He made three clean breaks for a total gain of 95 metres, beating two defenders and bagging himself a brace of trys.
Elliot Daly
Daly was one of the most impressive performers in an England shirt this afternoon. He dominated the aerial contest, consistently plucking balls out of the sky with aplomb. He showed great pace to finish off a lovely try in the corner and proved just how valuable he is when he smashed a penalty over from 60 metres early in the first half. At fault for one of the South Africa trys, but a very solid performance overall.
